Your Tasks:

  • Delegation of tasks to kitchen staff and coordination with the service staff
  • Establishing preparation guidelines, and creating menus with our Head Chef
  • Training and control of staff in the preparation guidelines, standards, and hygiene regulations
  • Professional handling of work equipment
  • Compliance with HACCP guidelines
  • Monitoring and ordering the required goods and their professional storage
  • Observation of supplier conditions, prices, and delivery terms
  • Price calculations in consultation with the Head Chef
  • Active participation in the a la carte service

Your Qualifications:

  • Berlin Residence and Ready-to-Start Status are required
  • Proven experience as a sous chef or in a similar position
  • Experience in a high-volume upscale restaurant would be an advantage
  • Passion for the culinary arts and desire to continuously improve cooking skills  
  • Knowledge of Italian cuisine would be an advantage
  • Basic knowledge of inventory control systems
  • English skills are required, other languages, especially German, would be an advantage
  • Good organizational and communicational skills
